AREA CURATION

On November 18, 2019, Frank Chou, the founder of Frank Chou design studio, was invited to participate in the 2020「Design Shanghai」press conference as the curator of the 「Talents Area」 in Design Shanghai. The Talents Area integrates Frank Chou's creative design ideas, and aims to find talented young designers to bring fresh blood to the design industry. The curtain about 8 meters long hangs down, which is in sharp contrast with other exhibition areas and creates an inclusive but open space. The gap between the curtain and the ground ensures that the audience can bend down and enter the exhibition area. The audiences outside can also see what is happening in the exhibition area through the gap. The white and translucent material is simple and atmospheric, showing the official booth's sense in formality and ceremony.
